Philipp Baer is a candidate architect and responsible for conceptual work, design development, 3D Visualisations and presentation. He has 3 (three) years of experience. During his studies he consistently finished in the top 10 (ten) percent of his class and won a number of awards including a second place at the national Des Baker Student Architecture Design Competition. After having completed his bachelor degree (BAS[Architecture]) he worked at SBT Juul Africa under the guidance of Trevor Juul, the principle in the firm. In 2010 he returned to the University of the Witwatersrand, starting his Honours degree (BAS(Hons)[Architecture]), which he completed that same year. In 2011 he completed his Masters degree (M(Arch)[Architecture]) with a dissertation entitled: “(Re)Construction of an industry – The Alexandra Development Hub. In 2012 he was working as a freelancer on several big projects, before joining Batley Partners, where he worked on several large scale projects such as Eastgate Shopping Centre.

His skills are mainly in design (conceptual design, design development, interior design and furniture design), 3D work (Modelling and Visualisation) as well as presentations.

He has worked on variety of projects in the past, including retail, residential, commercial, mixed use, urban design and interiors.

He is fluent in English, German, Swiss German as well as having experience in French,
